CATAN Ext: Traders and Barbarians - 6th Edition (FR) turns every CATAN game into a fresh adventure with five scenarios and four variants you can mix and match. The Fishermen of Catan invite you to cast your nets near a newly discovered lake, while the Rivers of Catan send you on a gold rush along two brand-new waterways. The Great Caravan challenges you to trade wagons and resources to move your goods across the island, before the Barbarian Attack forces you to raise an army of knights to defend your cities. The fifth scenario, Traders & Barbarians, ties it all together: you must deliver marble, glass and tools to rebuild Catan's great castle, all while fending off the barbarians still lurking about. Four variants round out the experience: Catan for Two, the Friendly Robber, Harbors of Catan and the Event Cards, a fun way to shake up the dice.

Interesting fact: Traders & Barbarians was never a single scenario dreamed up from scratch, it's actually a compilation of pieces published over the years in Spielbox magazine and on the official CATAN website, gathered and expanded here into one box. The 6th edition even took the chance to modernize a few scenarios, including the Great Caravan and the Barbarian Attack, with more dynamic new rules.

Just like the base game, this expansion is signed by Klaus Teuber, the original creator of CATAN, with art from a team that includes Volkan Baga, Tanja Donner, Eric Hibbeler and Harald Lieske among others. You'll recognize the same artistic touch found in Cities & Knights and Seafarers, keeping the island's soul consistent across the whole collection.
