Barrage - The Leeghwater Project throws rival hydroelectric companies into an even fiercer fight for water and power. This expert expansion adds a fifth company, the Netherlands, led by Ellen Vos, who arrives in Europe with Jan Leeghwater's water management expertise and every intention of outclassing the competition.

Two new modules enrich every game. External Works let you send your machinery, excavators and concrete mixers, on international projects for lucrative rewards, but be careful: once used, those machines are gone for the rest of the game. Private Buildings, meanwhile, are built directly on the Additional Actions board instead of the map, giving your engineers powerful new actions to activate.

You will also find a new company board, new Bonus and Advanced Technology tiles, and four new Executive Officer tiles, multiplying the strategic combinations available in every game. Worth noting: even though the fifth company adds new options, it does not unlock 5-player games; Barrage remains designed for 1 to 4 players.

This expansion is designed by Tommaso Battista and Simone Luciani, the same duo behind the base game. Simone Luciani is also known for popular management games like Tzolk'in, Lorenzo the Magnificent, and On Mars, while Tommaso Battista keeps expanding the Barrage universe through several expansions. Artwork is by Mauro Alocci, Antonio De Luca, and Roman Roland Kuteynikov, extending the base game's industrial, dystopian look.

To play, you need the base game Barrage, since this expansion cannot be used on its own.
