20 Strong: Tainted Grail Deck (EN)

With 20 Strong: Tainted Grail Deck, you dive alone into the dark, mystical world of Tainted Grail, ready to face four types of enemies, each with its own style and challenge. Every enemy you defeat grants valuable rewards, but some fights carry much higher risk than others: the path you choose depends on your strategy in the moment. A dial limits how many dice you can commit to each foe, so you need to aim carefully and combine your combat cards to unlock new attack options. If an enemy does not suit your build, or you spot a better target further down the deck, you can cast it aside into the Menhir Stack at the end of the fight, keeping control over your run. After eight rounds, you face the deck's final boss, a fearsome opponent who brings along the enemies you set aside in the Menhir Stack. Defeat it, and you win the game.

20 Strong: Tainted Grail Deck is for you if you love fast, intense solo games that wrap up in 30 to 45 minutes while keeping you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. You will enjoy the tension of rolling dice, the on-the-fly deck-building choices, and the satisfaction of watching your strategy pay off against a tough opponent. If you already own the 20 Strong base game and want to explore a new universe without relearning an entire system, this expansion is exactly what you need.

20 Strong: Tainted Grail Deck came to life through a Gamefound crowdfunding campaign, alongside other decks such as 20 Strong: Nemesis and 20 Strong: Solar Sentinels. It joins an already well-stocked family of themed decks for the 20 Strong system, which also includes universes inspired by Too Many Bones, Cloudspire, and Etherfields, proof that the formula keeps winning over solo gaming fans.

This deck was designed by Josh J. Carlson and Ryan Howard, the same duo behind Too Many Bones and the 20 Strong system, published by Chip Theory Games. If you have enjoyed any of their other games, you will recognize the same signature here: a simple core system that leaves plenty of room for combat tension.

To play this expansion, you need the 20 Strong base game, sold separately: Tainted Grail Deck adds new heroes, enemies, and a boss, but it does not work on its own.
