After studying graphic design and working in advertising companies, German artist Birgit Tanck now works as a freelance illustrator and cartoonist. A true northerner, she is often interested in ports, rivers, and the sea, but she also knows the South: Her drawings are published in the "Hamburger Abendblatt" as well as in the national newspaper "Süddeutsche Zeitung."
