Planet Unknown Supermoon Expansion (EN)
Meteor strikes have reshaped the battlefield. Planet Unknown: Supermoon expands the base game by introducing a brand-new development area: the Supermoon. This strategic expansion creates a critical new decision point every turn, forcing players to choose whether to place tiles on their planet or on the moon. The Supermoon includes a unique 3D satellite miniature used to clear meteorites, while rovers can also be deployed beyond the planet. Salvage tiles introduce split polyominoes that dramatically increase flexibility and tactical options.
Planet Unknown: Supermoon is ideal if you enjoy deeper planning, adaptive strategies and challenging assumptions from the base game. This board game expansion preserves simultaneous play while extending the experience and rewarding long-term optimization.
An interesting addition is the extended gameplay length, which allows new strategies to develop and makes every decision feel more impactful. The expansion also introduces a new planet and a new corporation, increasing asymmetry and replay value.
Designed by Ryan Lambert and Adam Rehberg, Planet Unknown continues to stand out as a modern tile-laying game with elegant systems and meaningful player choices.
