This deck expands the 20 Strong system: you draw cards from a shuffled deck, each posing a unique challenge - a fierce enemy, an unexpected event, or a trial to overcome - then roll your pool of dice to gather enough successes to beat it. Pick one of four iconic heroes from the roster: the heroes you leave behind become your rivals in brutal primus duels, before the final showdown against one of Pluto's fearsome scions. Every fight drains your dice pool, your strategy, and your recovery, forcing you to spend your resources wisely - push your luck too far and the arena will claim you.

20 Strong: Victorum was funded through a crowdfunding campaign, alongside the Too Many Bones and Solar Sentinels decks that launched the 20 Strong system in 2023. In ancient Rome, the hoplomachus ranked among the arena's most feared gladiators, protected by a heavy round shield and a visored helmet - a legacy this deck honors by putting you directly in that armor.
The deck was designed by Josh J. Carlson and Salem Scott; Carlson is also the mind behind Too Many Bones, another cult solo series from Chip Theory Games. Artwork comes from Anthony LeTourneau and Federico Pompili, who bring the gladiators and scions to life with a dark, detailed style.
To play, you'll need to already own the 20 Strong: Solar Sentinels base box, which contains the system's dice; this Victorum deck is a content add-on, not a stand-alone game.
