Azul Kids (ML)

Welcome to the cutest mosaic workshop around! Azul Kids adapts the concept of the beloved Azul board game for little hands: draw colorful pieces from the big cloth bag, place them on your board, and be the first to complete your creation. A bee, a butterfly, a turtle or a jellyfish takes shape, piece by piece, in a whirl of colors and matching shapes.

The rules could not be simpler: on your turn, pick a bowl filled with pieces of a single color (or draw straight from the central supply) and place them on the matching spots of your board. Pieces that do not fit go to your opponents, so aim carefully! Thanks to its double-sided boards, this board game for kids offers two levels of play: the Apprentice side for a gentle first game, and the Master side, with its distinct designs and star system, to push the strategy a little further as your young champion grows.

Azul Kids is for you if you love colorful pieces, pretty patterns and games that wrap up in 20 minutes flat. It is just as great for children taking their first steps into board games as for families looking for a colorful activity to share between supper and bath time.

This little gem carries the spirit of the original Azul, winner of the prestigious Spiel des Jahres in 2018 and of the As d'Or award, created by the same designer, Michael Kiesling, also known for classics like Tikal and Torres. With Azul Kids, he built a version made from the ground up for the hands and eyes of children ages 5 and up, while illustrator Iris Wincker brings to life the sweet characters found in every mosaic.
