In Silos, a quiet little town hides an extraordinary secret: extraterrestrials disguised as ordinary townsfolk are plotting an alien invasion as silent as it is ruthless. Players control rival alien factions who arrive to abduct and brainwash humans -- and especially cows, which they consider far more valuable -- to seize territory control over the community. Each turn, you reposition your disguised figures and trigger an event card to tip the balance. The real thrill of Silos comes from its two-faced pieces: every human figure hides an alien underneath, and flipping it at just the right moment reveals the infiltration and flips control of a location. A roaming UFO drifts across the board, power tiles shuffle from game to game, and every player chases the best combination of specimens -- politicians, government operators, influencers, and professionals -- to complete their sets. Cows, the most coveted wild cards, can complete any group. The first player to gather five societal power emblems wins the game.

Silos is actually a full remaster of the classic Municipium, reimagined with an alien invasion theme, brand-new two-faced figures, and modular power tiles that keep every game fresh. The game also kicks off the Cosmic Silos Trilogy, a series of sci-fi games by the same designer, alongside Ego and Orbit. An official expansion, Crop Circles, adds long-term strategy modules for groups who want to push the experience even further.

Silos carries the signature of Reiner Knizia, one of the most prolific designers in modern board gaming, also behind cult classics like Ra, Tigris & Euphrates, and Through the Desert. The wild artwork of Kwanchai Moriya, known for his work on Res Arcana and Boonlake, along with graphic design by Brigette Indelicato, gives this humor-filled alien invasion its distinctive look.
