Codenames: Back to Hogwarts brings the classic word association game into the magical halls of Hogwarts. Inspired by the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, this version lets players explore the mysterious castle while competing house against house.

Players are divided into two teams representing rival Hogwarts houses. Each team has a prefect who secretly knows the correct locations of cards on the grid. Using only a single word and a number, the prefect must guide their teammates to identify the correct words while avoiding the opposing team's cards.

However, exploring Hogwarts is never simple. Teams may encounter dead ends, locked doors, or other obstacles that stop their progress. Even worse, uncovering the card of the castle’s strict caretaker Argus Filch immediately ends the game and grants victory to the opposing team.

This edition adds new strategic twists through unique Hogwarts house abilities. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin each provide special powers that can influence how clues are interpreted and how teams approach the game.
