  • Got Five: the deduction game where everyone sees your numbers, except you

    In September 2026, one game was more popular than all the others at L'As des jeux: Got Five. Not a party game, not a big strategy game, but a small deduction game where you have to figure out numbers... that everyone can see, except you!

    If you're wondering what's in the box, who it's for and whether it belongs in your collection, here's everything you need to know.

    Box of the Got Five deduction game

    What is Got Five?

    Got Five is a logic game for 2 to 4 players. In front of you, five numbered tiles are placed face down... on your side. The other players can see them perfectly well. Your goal: figure out your five hidden numbers before everyone else.

    To get there, logic leads the way: you have to observe, ask the right questions and make deductions. All the information revealed during the game stays visible on the table, which slowly turns the game into one big shared puzzle.

    How do you play?

    Each turn has two steps:

    • Reveal a new tile.
    • Ask a neighbouring player for a clue. You can ask them to place a tile among your hidden numbers, or to compare its dots with one of your tiles.

    From there, you rule out possibilities, note your hypotheses on your sheet and try to rebuild your sequence of numbers in the right ascending order.

    And when you think you've got it? You call out "Got Five!". But watch out: it's risky. One single mistake and you're out of the game. That little moment of doubt is what makes the game so gripping: do you go for it now, or take one more turn to be sure?

    Who is Got Five for?

    Got Five is for you if:

    • you like quick brain teasers, like logic puzzles or deduction grids;
    • you're looking for a family game to play with kids aged 8 and up;
    • you want a game that works just as well with family as with friends;
    • you prefer games where every piece of information counts rather than ones where the dice decide everything;
    • you often play as a pair: the game plays 2 to 4 players.

    It's also a great introduction to deduction games for someone who has never tried one: the rules are simple and a game lasts about 15 minutes.

    Why is it so much fun?

    Because everyone knows something about you... except you. This simple idea instantly creates a fun dynamic around the table. You watch reactions, ask your questions carefully and try to learn more than the others meant to tell you.

    Because nothing disappears. Since every revealed tile stays visible until the end, you can always go back over your deductions and adjust your hypotheses. Each turn adds a piece to the puzzle.

    Because "Got Five!" is a real moment of tension. Call it too early and you risk elimination. Wait too long and another player wins. This little dilemma comes back every game.

    Because it's quick. At 15 minutes a game, it's easy to play a rematch... and then another.

    The game was designed by Yoann Levet and illustrated by Mathieu Clauss and Simon Douchy. The bright colours and easy-to-read components make the information simple to take in at a glance.
