mini-casse-tete-movie-cats-99-pcs
Mini casse-tête - Movie Cats (99 pcs)

The sage green box of Movie Cats opens onto a mosaic of nine mock movie posters, each one reworked with a cat in the leading role. The classics are instantly recognizable: a feline astronaut floats through a corridor of colored lights straight out of a space odyssey, a kitten spirals downward at the center of a red and orange swirl worthy of a suspense thriller, a figure in a white dress sings with open arms atop a blue mountain peak, a wide eyed cat stares down an approaching fin in turquoise water, an orange muzzle peeks from behind a half open wooden door, a crew in red caps sails a yellow submersible, a giant cat towers over a miniature city, and a row of cats in black suits walks away from the camera against a black and white backdrop, a nod to a classic crime film. Every panel plays with movie poster conventions, retro typography and punny cast credits included, for a result that is both nostalgic and genuinely funny once all 99 pieces come together.

This puzzle is part of a mini jigsaw puzzle collection that reimagines chunks of cinema history with cats, an idea also sold as a full 1000 piece version from the same publisher. Its compact format, barely bigger than a deck of cards, makes it a quick activity for a break or a great small gift for film and cat lovers alike.

The artwork in this series is credited to illustrator Nia Gould, known for her work reimagining pop culture icons as cats; her colorful style and visual humor run through every mini poster in this collection.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0621/5847/1419/files/mini-casse-tete-movie-cats-99-pcs-casse-tete-50-99-morceaux-1261120642.jpg?v=1791141638
