But he had the energy of a five-year-old. He ran everywhere. He jumped on the furniture. He slid down banisters shouting “Sir Sigismond is the fastest!” He raced the horses. He won.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt the king’s supper, he refused to eat his vegetables. He built a fort out of the throne cushions. He asked the king two hundred questions, all starting with “Why?” At 9 p.m., he still wasn’t sleepy. At midnight, he was waking the guards to play hide-and-seek. He found them all. In armour, they hide very badly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter a week, the whole court was exhausted. The king summoned Sigismond. He asked him, very politely, if he could go back to Tír na nÓg and return some of his youth. Sigismond thought about it. Then he threw a tantrum. He rolled on the floor. In armour. It was very loud.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e(The Dungeon Master, trying not to laugh: in the end, the energy wore off on its own after a month. Sigismond fell asleep in the middle of a tournament, standing, on his horse, and slept for three days. When he woke up, his knees creaked again. He was very relieved.
