The real captain followed along the shore, drinking his coffee. In the middle of the lake, a gust of wind came up. A ten-centimetre wave hit the hull. Hilaire shouted “ALL HANDS ON DECK!” The ducks dove. Hilaire fell into the water.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe swam to shore, dripping, with seaweed on his head. The real captain was waiting for him. Hilaire expected to be mocked. The captain held out his hand: “I’ve been sailing for forty years.
