They didn’t blink. Marine sang louder. She sang a second song, then a third. Nothing. After an hour, the oldest turtle raised her head and said, very slowly: “What?” All three turtles had been deaf as a post for a hundred years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDiscouraged, Marine sat down in a corner and played dice with the crab while waiting for the results. She won seven games in a row without singing a single note. The turtles, watching her out of the corner of their eyes, were very impressed: finally, someone who won without cheating.
